Vastaajilta kysyttiin arviota osaamisensa riittävyydestä ja lisäkoulutustarpeista. Vastaajilta kysyttiin, kuinka usein he ovat epäilleet tiedevilppiä (esim. plagiointi, sepittäminen, havaintojen tai tulosten vääristely) sekä piittaamattomuutta hyvästä tieteellisestä käytännöstä (esim. tutkimuslupien laiminlyönti, aineiston käsittelyn puutteet, tekijyysepäselvyydet, itsensä plagiointi, ansioiden liioittelu). The survey explores sources of research ethics information, familiarity with guidelines, and misconduct and related suspicions. Respondents were asked how well they are familiar with key RCR guidelines (e.g. the RCR guidelines, authorship practices, researcher's curriculum vitae guidelines, and The European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity) as well as the research ethics support person system within their organisations. In addition, respondents were asked about the various sources (e.g. organisation, funders, publications, the scientific community, media) from which they have obtained information on research ethics. The section on RCR competence examined the availability of research ethics training, participation in such training, and respondents' self-assessed level of competence. Respondents were also asked to evaluate the adequacy of their competence and their need for further training. Respondents were asked how often they had suspected research misconduct (e.g. plagiarism, fabrication, falsification of observations or results) and disregard for the responsible conduct of research (e.g. neglect of research permits, deficiencies in data handling, authorship disputes, self-plagiarism, exaggeration of merits). This was followed by questions on respondents' knowledge of reporting processes, experiences of making allegations, and barriers to reporting, such as loyalty, fear of consequences, or distrust in the fairness of procedures. Eettisiin riskeihin ja hyvän tieteellisen käytännön uhkatekijöitä kartoitettiin väittämillä, jotka koskivat esimerkiksi tutkijoiden oikeuksiin liittyvän tiedon puutetta, tutkimusaineistojen omistajuuden epäselvyyksiä, vilppiepäilyjen seurauksia, urapaineita, rahoituksen vaikutuksia sekä HTK-prosessien tunnettuutta. The dataset examines ethical guidelines, practices, violations, and the values and operating culture of research work. Respondents were asked about their organisation's commitment to the RCR guidelines, their familiarity with various research ethics guidelines, the visibility of research ethics support persons, and their participation in research ethics training. Violations of the RCR were explored by assessing the prevalence of different forms of unethical conduct within respondents' research communities over the past three years. These included, for example, plagiarism, self-plagiarism, fabrication, falsification of results, and neglect related to authorship. In addition, respondents were asked about failures to obtain research permits or ethical review. They were also asked about their own experiences of being subjected to violations and how such cases had been handled within their organisations. Ethical risks and threats to responsible conduct were examined through statements addressing issues such as lack of information on researchers' rights, ambiguities in the ownership of research data, consequences of suspected misconduct, career pressures, the influence of funding, and awareness of RCR processes. The values and ethical principles of research work were examined by asking respondents to identify the most important values, such as openness, honesty, reliability, independence, critical thinking, and societal impact. The study examined Finns' working lives and labour market position, as well as their experiences, attitudes, and concerns related to work, working conditions, and digitalisation. Respondents were asked how important they considered various job- and work-related characteristics, such as meaningful work, opportunities for advancement, and job security. In addition, questions covered working conditions, including work intensity, stress, working hours, remote work, and the balance between work and other areas of life. The survey also collected information on the use of digital technologies at work, digital skills, skills development, and concerns about the impacts of technologies such as robotics and artificial intelligence on jobs, one's own work, and employment opportunities. The dataset includes data from four rounds of polling with the same respondents. The data were collected as part of the Citizens' Opinion panel, which is part of The Finnish Research Infrastructure for Public Opinion (FIRIPO). The survey charted respondents' views on the functioning of public services, and they were presented with various statements concerning services and decision-making in municipalities and wellbeing services counties. The survey included statements on democracy, the political system, and the role of citizens. Respondents' views were examined, for example, with regard to the functioning of democracy, the significance of referendums, political trust, and their own political understanding. Respondents were also asked to assess various statements on the functioning of public administration, freedom of expression, the right to protest, and compliance with the law in different situations. The statements and their response options were presented in partly different forms to different respondent groups. For example, a statement concerning election results was presented to some respondents in the form \"If elections have been conducted fairly, the result should be respected regardless of the winner\", while others were presented with the form \"Election results do not need to be respected if the outcome is displeasing\". The respondents' voting behaviour was examined by asking respondents whether they had voted or intended to vote in the municipal and county elections. Those who had voted or intended to vote were asked which party or which party's candidate they voted for or intended to vote for. Opinions were charted on the success of foreign policy in the previous few years, funds allocated to the Defence Forces, whether Finland should resort to armed defence in case of any sort of attack, whether the respondents would be prepared to participate in national defence according to their abilities, and how the global security situation would develop in the next five years. Views were probed on the current, conscription-based defence system. Satisfaction with defence policy in the previous few years was also investigated. On the topic of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the respondents were asked whether the EU and its member states should continue to offer military and financial support to Ukraine and impose sanctions on Russia. The respondents were also asked whether other NATO states should be ready to defend Finland in case of an armed attack on Finland and whether Finland should be prepared to defend other NATO states in case of an armed attack on another NATO state. In addition to leisure time activities, the main themes of this year's survey were summer activities and social media use. First, respondents were asked how often they engage in various leisure activities, such as sports, arts, and cultural activities, spend time in different leisure settings, listen to music, and participate in associations. The survey also explored satisfaction with different areas of life, as well as experiences of stress and feelings of belonging. Questions related to summer activities focused particularly on 15- to 29-year-olds and covered topics such as the length of summer holiday, activities done during the holiday, and wellbeing. The section on summer employment examined, for example, job seeking, work experiences, the duration of employment, and the reasons for not seeking summer jobs. Respondents under the age of 18 were also asked about their guardians' supervision of social media use and restrictions on phone use.
